Mediation and negotiations
In September, a course on business mediation began at the National Research University Higher School of Economics under the supervision of Daria Zhdan-Pushkina as part of the minor "Public Conflicts and Management Rhetoric". Third-year students of various professions study in the minor. The course will last until December 2024, and according to the mediators participating in the teaching, this contributes to the development of mediation through future specialists.
In September, a training course on negotiations and conflict resolution was organized for an international company, which was successfully held in Hungary (photo above). The program was conducted in English and can be a good content for an annual corporate event.
The editing of the Methodological Manual for a Judge on the Appointment of Mediation has been completed. The manual has been sent for layout and printing and, according to our expectations, will be presented at the November conference of the Solis Mediation Center "Out-of-court Methods of Resolving Corporate Disputes".
Arbitration
There are two cases in the area of commercial arbitration in progress.
A course on Maritime Arbitration has started at the National Research University Higher School of Economics under the supervision of Daria Zhdan-Pushkina. The students of the course are mature specialists in the area of maritime business. Russian maritime specialists lack knowledge and opportunities for development in their profession. Understanding this need helped to overcome all doubts. And thanks to the Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the course has turned from a simple idea into a completely real case that benefits all its participants.
Plans
In the near future, we are preparing for the November conference of the Solis Mediation Center "Out-of-court methods for settling corporate disputes".
In December, we planned to take part in the ICC international competition on mediation and present Russian students in Hong Kong. Let's hope that everything we planned will work out.
