At the end of May 2024, with the participation of Daria Zhdan-Pushkina, two most important events took place in Russian mediation:
Defense of the project “Concept for the development of mediation in Russia” at the GR department at the Higher School of Economics.
Conference “Communicative and Legal Tools of the Mediator” (Moscow, Russia).
In June, Daria Zhdan-Pushkina gave an online lecture about the mediation procedure, mediator functions and the stages of mediation. At the lecture, a sample agreement for mediation was shown.
The Solis Mediation Center is preparing to release a “Methodological manual for judges on prescribing mediation.” Daria Zhdan-Pushkina serves as the editor of this work.
Arbitration
Daria continues to consider arbitration cases. Work is underway on issues of insurance, construction and maritime business.
Negotiations and consulting
The number of requests for expertise on Russian insurance and aviation law in international affairs, considering sanctions and military risks, has increased many times over. Negotiations are held weekly on these issues.
We update the catalog of respondents and counterparties in maritime affairs, and in connection with this, new contacts appear and information on the state of the maritime market is updated. In particular, we are looking for partners who can provide full support for the purchase and sale of vessels considering sanctions.
